Grant Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Grant Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to grant regulations, policies, and reporting requirements. Reporting directly to the Grant Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring grant compliance, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting in the development of training materials to educate staff on compliance obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant management processes and regulatory standards, ensuring that all funding is utilized appropriately and effectively.

  • Monitor and review grant compliance requirements and ensure adherence to all regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Grant Manager to prepare and submit required reports to funding agencies.
  • Assist in the development of compliance training materials for staff and stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with grant obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grant compliance.
  • Identify and address potential compliance risks, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Support program teams in understanding and implementing grant requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance and program staff to ensure financial and programmatic compliance.
  • Keep up to date with federal, state, and private grant regulations and best practices.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant management, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and private grant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience working in the nonprofit sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in grant management software, Microsoft office and data management tools.
  • Strong research and reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational, time-management and project management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Strong judgment, analytic reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Impeccable, integrity and trustworthiness, with an ability to handle sensitive information effectively and confidentially.
  • Ability to work well with diverse colleagues with varied personalities and work styles.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Must be available during the core work hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as an integral part of the job based on the nature of the role and its responsibilities. It is a remote position.

Legal Status & Work Authorization:

The candidate applying to join ICNA Relief must have legal status, a social security number and work authorization by the relevant US authorities. The candidate by virtue of applying for this position authorizes ICNA Relief for his/her Background Check, reference check and a Medical Exam on need basis.

Travel Requirements:

ICNA Relief is a national organization with operations across various states, therefore the candidate must be willing and prepared to travel for official work/assignment at 24-hour notice.

ICNA Relief is a faith-based not-for-profit organization, and our services are made possible through contributions from donors and volunteers who need to be approached and engaged at all times. As employees of ICNA Relief you may be required, at times, to drive the organizations’ vehicle and are hence required to have a clean traffic record with no outstanding citations as you will be representing ICNA Relief.
