Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one or in small groups to assist students under the direction of the Special Education Teacher.
• Rotate groups periodically during the school day with teachers and other staff assistants.
• Assist students with physical needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, pushing wheelchairs, lifting on and off bus.
• Record data on student performance and input student information on the computer.
• Administer medication to the student as required.
• Follow plans outlined by the Specialized Teachers, Therapists, and nurses according to the student’s IEP.
