Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required and must hold Alabama teaching certificate endorsed in Special Education.
• Experience with IEP processes and collaboration with teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans comprehensive courses of study for special education students with modified plans and resources.
• Teaches special education students to support independence and academic progress.
• Provides individualized and group instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Develops specialized lesson plans reflecting students’ needs and backgrounds.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members to set goals and accommodations.
• Maintains student records and communicates progress to parents and staff.
