United Charter High Schools seeks qualified teachers to join our 7 charter high schools across the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. You will develop rigorous curriculum, assess student progress, and support post-high school transitions while fostering equitable access and high expectations.

We emphasize collaboration, professional development and the use of educational technology to meet diverse learners’ needs and prepare students for college and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid New York State SWD Certification is required.
• Proven track record for planning lessons with clear objectives and assessments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated content knowledge and familiarity with Common Core State Standards.
• Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Develop relevant and accessible content-based curriculum.
• Assess student growth through formal and informal data.
• Build students’ academic and socio-emotional skills.
• Advocate for student supports and plan post-high school transitions.
• Support school events, testing, proctoring and scoring as needed.
