Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 seeks a Special Education Clerical Paraprofessional at High School. 8 hours/day, student days only, with starting rate of $21.44 per hour.

This Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional contract role supports scheduling and office operations in the special education department. The successful candidate will handle communications, assist the director and staff, coordinate calendars, and maintain confidentiality while keeping the office running smoothly

Qualifications

  • Must have a HS diploma or GED and 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Must have proven experience interacting positively with the public.
  • Must have the ability to handle more than one project/task at a time while maintaining a positive professional demeanor despite numerous interruptions.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing,in a clear, conciseprofessional manner.
  • Must becomputer proficient with general office productivity tools.

Position Description

The Special Education Clerical Paraprofessional will provide administrative & scheduling support to the special education department, school, and public community by communicating information, addressing problems, providing support to the special education director, special education staff, principal, and students, and maintaining the special education office efficiently and professionally so that school business can be conducted and managed effectively while maintaining strict confidentiality.

This is an extremely hands-on position that will require someone with the skills, energy, and creativity to ensure that the office runs smoothly despite regular interruptions. The successful candidate will be required to tactfully take charge of tasks and schedules to ensure successful completion.
