Job summary

Harmony School of Excellence - Laredo (9-12) seeks an instructional aide to support teachers and students, assist with small groups, supervise during meals and events, and help with data collection for ARD/IEP processes.

Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, implementing behavior plans, and preparing paperwork for special education reports. CPI training may be required later. Evening or weekend activities possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 48 college hours are preferred for advancing duties.
• Experience in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher(s) with student goals by working with small groups or an individual child.
• Supports classroom management and behavioral plans to create a suitable learning environment.
• Supervises students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal and events.
• Assists with ARD/IEP paperwork; collects and enters data for special education reports.
• Helps plan and implement differentiated instruction for individuals or groups.
• May work in Life Skills, Behavior, Resource or In-Class Support settings.
