Job summary

Harmony School of Innovation - Waco (6-12) is seeking an instructional assistant to support teachers and students in a dynamic campus setting. Under direct supervision, you will help with ARD/IEP processes, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, supervise meals and events, and contribute to a positive learning environment on a busy campus.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college hours preferred, and TEA aide certification preferred; strong communication and data

Qualifications

• Assists teachers with student academic goals in small groups or individually.
• Maintains classroom management and supports behavior plans for learning.
• Monitors students during meals, recess, and events.
• Assists with ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for reports.
• Helps plan and implement differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups or an individual child.
• Assist teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
• Assist with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assists teacher(s) in the preparation of paperwork for the ARD/IEP process. Collects and enters data for completion of special education reports and documents.
• Assists teacher(s) with the planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
