• Associate degree or 48 college credits
• Completion of WorkKeys assessments and 96 staff development hours
• Preschool assistants must have an associate degree in Early Childhood Development
• Must obtain Crisis Intervention certification and renewals

Responsibilities

• Assist a teacher of students with disabilities under supervision
• Provide one-on-one and small group academic support
• Assist with classroom duties and maintenance of materials
• Monitor safety and student well-being; support behavior management
• Maintain student progress records and documentation
