Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a part-time Special Education Classroom Aide to support students at David Brearley Middle School & High School. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with duties supervised by the Principal/Director of Student Personnel Services.

Responsibilities include assisting students with learning activities, personal care and toileting, collaborating with staff, and supporting behavior and learning needs. Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to actively assist special education students with learning activities, personal care and toileting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with building staff.
• Experience with students with behavioral/ learning needs preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking ability desired.
• Must meet NJ residency requirements per state law.

Terms of Employment

$30.71 per Hour. terms as stated below.

• 1. High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• 3. Willingness to actively assist special education students in the performance of learning activities, personal care, and/or toileting.
• 4. Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate building staff.
• 5. Experience working with students with behavioral/ learning needs preferred.
• 6. Bilingual- Spanish speaking ability desired.
• 7. Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70).
