Job summary

The Sioux City Community School District’s Bryant Elementary School in Sioux City, Iowa is hiring a Special Education Instructional Assistant I to support students with disabilities and assist with health and behavior supports. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in general and special education settings.
• Communicate with teachers and co-workers.
• Motivate and assist students to build self-esteem and independence.
• Use assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Implement supports as outlined in a student’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and Individual Health Plan (IHP).
