Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• To work in a Title I-funded school, 48 college credit hours or a passing paraprofessional assessment is required.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Proficiency with business software (e.g. MS Office) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under the teacher's direction to support objectives.
• Assists in instructional programs and provides instruction in various activities.
• Participates in implementing IEP goals and behavioral plans.
• Performs clerical tasks to prepare instructional materials.
• Maintains data collection and documents activities and assistance.
• Attends meetings and professional trainings.
• May assist with basic first aid and personal care tasks as part of the IEP.
• Supports students with mobility and daily living needs.
