Job summary

MARSHALL ES in Spring ISD, Spring, Texas, seeks a Community Academic Structured Education (CASE) teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role serves students with low incidence disabilities by providing academics, social and independent living skills in school and community settings.

The teacher will implement IEPs, track progress, communicate with parents, arrange community activities, and act as Case Manager coordinating ARD/IEP decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements and level assigned.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Preferred: one year of student teaching or internship.
  • Preferred: experience with students eligible for special education.
  • Preferred: Valid Texas ESL certification.
  • Preferred: CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements instructional plans for CASE students.
  • Implements IEPs, monitors and documents student progress.
  • Communicates regularly with parents about student progress.
  • Organizes, plans for and participates in community trips per the students’ IEP.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student and parent information.
  • Maintains CPR, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training.
  • Serves as the students’ Case Manager coordinating ARD/IEP processes.
