Job summary

Summit Public Schools in Daly City, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Case Manager) for SY26-27 to join our project-based learning network.

You will collaborate with grade-level teams, design IEPs, provide accommodated instruction, and lead case management for a caseload of diverse learners. The role requires a California Teaching Credential and a bachelor’s degree, with strong commitment to Summit values.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Summit’s values and rigorous, equitable education.
• Teaching Credential in CA or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
• Clear health and background check.
• Experience teaching in your subject preferred.
• Experience writing state-compliant IEPs; SEIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement accommodated instruction and IEP goals.
• Lead IEP-based instruction in resource rooms.
• Manage caseload to ensure supports and modifications.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum.
• Coordinate with staff and parents to review and adjust plans annually.
• Develop and design IEPs for a caseload and facilitate IEP meetings.
• Administer and interpret diagnostic assessments to identify needs.
