Job summary

Summit Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher (Case Manager) to support IEP goals, provide accommodations, and facilitate instruction in a resource room. You will coordinate with general education staff, monitor student progress, and help design individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Commitment to upholding Summit’s values and equitable education.
• Experience with IEPs and Diverse Learners is preferred.
• California/state teaching credentials or equivalent required/acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of accommodated instruction and IEP goals.
• Facilitate IEP-based instruction in a resource room.
• Provide case management for a caseload of students and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to tailor curriculum for diverse learners.
• Lead development and design of IEPs, including facilitating meetings.
• Administer and interpret academic assessments to identify needs.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate across Summit network.
