Job summary

Child Guidance Resource Centers is seeking an Elementary Education Services Counselor to provide academic and behavioral health support in a school setting. The role involves crisis intervention, emotional support, and supervising certain aspects of student care while coordinating with teachers and families.

The counselor will monitor progress toward goals, assist with assessments, and ensure timely documentation and supervision aligned with CGRC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Provides behavioral support per IEP including crisis intervention techniques and emotional support.
• Monitors progress and provides data for evaluations and IEPs.
• Completes documentation in line with agency procedures.
• Intervenes in crisis situations and reinforces treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral support as prescribed in the student’s IEP, including crisis intervention techniques and emotional support.
• Supports teachers with classroom implementation of the IEP.
• Monitors daily progress and data on goals and objectives per treatment plan.
• Maintains communication with family and other team members about progress.
• Supervises medication administration under RN guidance.
• Facilitates social skills groups as needed.
• Completes documentation and participates in required supervision.
