Job summary

Granite School District in Utah seeks a Special Education Behavior Coordinator to support students and teachers across district settings who have social-emotional and/or behavioral disabilities. The coordinator develops behavior intervention plans and collaborates with educators to enhance student learning.

The role includes organizing professional development, coaching on functional behavior assessments, ensuring compliance with federal and state rules, and leading data collection and progress

• Knowledge of IDEA and USBE Special Education Rules.

Responsibilities

• Organize professional development for special education teachers.
• Coach teachers on functional behavior assessments and behavior plans.
• Support compliance with IDEA and USBE Rules.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring for behavior.
• Participate in PLCs and district committees.
• Train staff in Mandt, ESI, LRBI and related data collection.
• Support instruction and behavior strategies in inclusive settings.
• Assist with autism-related eligibility, ABA strategies, IEP goals, and parent interaction.
