Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a Behavior Aide to support teachers in delivering individualized services to students with diverse needs. You will work with small groups, implement behavioral strategies, track progress, and communicate with families. This role supports SESI’s PBIS framework in a K-12 setting.

You will need empathy, patience, and strong teamwork to monitor student progress and adjust plans with teachers and related service providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide customized behavioral and academic support.
• Reinforce learning, assign relevant tasks, and use data to tailor materials.
• Assist teachers with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques.
