Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a behavior aide to support students in in-district classrooms and standalone schools. You will work with a teacher in delivering individualized services, monitor progress, and reinforce skills using SESI’s PBIS CASE framework.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred) and experience with students with special needs. This role offers paid training, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt instructional approaches.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varied backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction implementing the SESI model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks and using data to choose materials.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and safety procedures.
• Support daily plans and track student growth toward goals.
• Supervise students and coordinate with staff across locations.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to meet needs.

Education

High school diploma
