Job Description

Moravia School District is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Associates to provide 1:1 support to students with a wide range of academic and behavioral needs. This position may support students across lower elementary through secondary grades, and responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned student(s). Associates play a critical role in helping students access the curriculum, develop social‑emotional skills, and succeed in the least restrictive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to students as outlined in their IEPs or 504 plans.
• Assist students with academic tasks, classroom routines, and organizational skills.
• Support positive behavior interventions and help implement behavior support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to ensure student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and daily activities.
• Assist with transitions, therapies, and other specialized activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
