Qualifications

Knowledge of child growth & development, and behavior management for students with special needs.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken; basic math.
Ability to perform routine clerical tasks and manage records.
Understanding of district policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist instructional personnel with presentation of learning materials in Basic Life Skills classroom.
Tutor individual students or small groups with special needs under teacher direction.
Monitor and assist students during drills, practice, and study activities.
Direct students to safe learning activities and support social behavior development.
Assist in managing student behavior using positive reinforcement strategies.
