Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with the instructional program under supervision of a certified teacher, adapting to individual student needs.
• Assist with administrative records and required reports.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers to/from wheelchairs and positioning.
• Attend to students' personal care needs such as feeding, bathroom visits, and hygiene.
• Help manage student behavior under supervision of a teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups on motor skills and exercises.
• Report any special needs or problems to the teacher.
• Assist with SHARS duties as assigned.
