Job summary

Harmony Public Schools in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated instructional aide to support teachers and students. Under supervision, you will assist with small groups, behavior plans, test administration and specialized support for students with special needs.

You will help prepare classroom materials, supervise students during meals and activities, and assist with ARD/IEP documentation as needed. Strong communication and reliability are essential; a willingness to obtain relevant certification

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
Minimum of 48 college hours preferred.
Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups or an individual student.
Assists teacher(s) in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create a learning-friendly environment.
Supervises students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, events, and programs.
Assists with ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for completion of special education reports.
Supports differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
May work in Life Skills, Behavior, Resource, or In-Class Support settings.
Assignments may change during the year based on campus needs.
May be required to take CPI training for de-escalation and restraint procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
