Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to support K-12 students requiring additional supports in in-district classrooms or standalone schools.

You will work with small groups, reinforce learned skills, and contribute to individualized plans under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, communicating with families, and using data to tailor tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with special needs in classrooms.
• Ability to monitor student progress and communicate with parents.
• Willingness to implement behavior supports and PBIS strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction alongside the teacher.
• Provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Assist with assessments and grading activities.
• Support daily plans and track student progress.
• Maintain student safety and supervise during transitions.
