Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to support the teacher in delivering individualized services to small groups of K-12 students with special needs.

You will monitor student behavior, track progress, and communicate with families to reinforce learning using SESI’s models. Responsibilities include assisting with small group instruction, assessments, and daily plans, while applying de-escalation techniques and ensuring student safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Assist the teacher with customized behavior and academic support and assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks and using data to select materials.
• Support, document, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise students and monitor movement between locations.
