Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to join our in-district classrooms and standalone schools for K-12 students requiring additional supports.

You will work with small groups, support individualized instruction, and collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and document student growth. Benefits include healthcare, retirement plan, and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group instruction with SESI's academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Reinforce learning and assess progress with one-on-one tutorials.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and accommodations.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Monitor student safety during transitions and ensure supervision.
