Job summary

North Allegheny School District in Pennsylvania is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Assistant at Marshall Elementary School to support identified students across regular and special education environments, collaborating with inclusion facilitators and teachers.

The role runs the full school day at 7 hours with a starting hourly rate of $20.70, and requires 48 postsecondary credits or an Associate degree or completion of the ParaPro Assessment, plus clearances and pre-employment

Qualifications

• 48 credits of a post-secondary education, Associates Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
• Current Clearances Are Required And Include: Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training, pre-employment Physical and TB Test.

The District seeks candidates to fill a Long- Term Substitue Special Education Assistant position at Marshall Elementary School, effective to be determined until June 1, 2027.

A Special Education Assistant will provide support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments and will work collaboratively with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers and Regular Education Teachers to provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.

Special Education Assistant positions work 7 hours per day during the school year only.

Starting Hourly rate will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The rate for $20.70/Hour.
