Job summary

North Allegheny School District is seeking a Special Education Assistant at Ingomar Middle School, effective August 13, 2026. The role provides support for identified students in regular and special education settings and collaborates with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers to deliver academic, emotional, social, behavioral and physical support.

Positions work 7 hours per day during the school year, with starting hourly rate per the Collective

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 credits of a post-secondary education, Associates Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for identified students in regular and/or special education environments.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers and Regular Education Teachers to provide academic, emotional, social, behavioral and physical support.
• Support students for 7 hours per day during the school year.

The District seeks candidates to fill a Special Education Assistant position at Ingomar Middle School, effective August 13, 2026.

A Special Education Assistant will provide support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments and will work collaboratively with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers and Regular Education Teachers to provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.

Special Education Assistant positions work 7 hours per day during the school year only.

Starting Hourly rate will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The rate for the 2026-2027 School Year is $20.70/Hour with a comprehensive individual benefit package available.

Minimum Requirements Include 48 credits of a post-secondary education, Associates Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.

Current Clearances Are Required And Include

• Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA Criminal Record Check
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment Physical and TB Test.
