Job summary

Harmony School of Innovation-Odessa is seeking an Educational Aide to support teachers and students in PK-10 classrooms. The role involves assisting with individualized goals, small-group instruction, and routine classroom tasks in a dynamic public school setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred 48 college hours and Texas Educational Aide Certification or the ability to obtain it. Flexibility for varied duties and campus events is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or ability to acquire it.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with student academic goals, in small groups or one-on-one.
• Support classroom management and behavior plans to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal and events.
• Assist with ARD/IEP paperwork and data collection for reports.
• Support differentiation of instruction for individual students or groups.
• May work in Life Skills, Behavior, Resource or In-Class Support settings.
• Assignment may change based on campus needs.
• May require CPI certification or equivalent for de-escalation procedures in crisis situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
