Job summary

Lake Oswego School District is seeking a Temporary Special Education Assistant II (SEA II) for Pathways at Lake Oswego High School. The role covers 7 hours per day across 186 days (prorated) with a starting wage of $21.77 to $29.78 per hour, depending on experience.

The SEA II supports instruction and supervision of students with special needs, assists with IEP/504 plans, and helps maintain a safe, respectful learning environment under the direction of teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• Education and language requirements: high school diploma or GED; English fluency.
• Desirable: Associate degree or higher.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with diverse students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision and instruction of students with special needs.
• Support with IEP, 504 plans, and behavior and safety programs.
• Provide instructional and administrative support in the classroom.
• Attend to health needs and mobility assistance as required.
• Maintain student data and progress documentation.
• Support teachers and health staff and ensure safety protocols.
