Job summary

The Lake Oswego School District is seeking a Temporary Special Education Assistant II (SEA II) for Pathways at Lake Oswego Middle School. This 7-hour/day, 184-day position supports classroom teachers and helps implement IEP/504 plans while promoting student safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Ability to work with students with special needs, maintain confidentiality, and follow safety procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision and instruction of students with IEPs and 504 plans.
• Support instructional activities, record student progress, and implement instruction plans.
• Help with health-related tasks and mobility support under trained supervision.
• Maintain accurate student data and communicate with staff and families as needed.
• Assist in clerical tasks and classroom setup.
