Qualifications

• Highly Qualified per NCLB requirements before end of probational period.
• Must have High school diploma or GED and additional college credits.
• Pass the ParaPro Assessment and paraprofessional standards checklist.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage student IEP data in the computer system and print data files per procedures.
• Prepare and return classroom materials; locate supplies and organize bulletin boards.
• Provide attendant care for students with disabilities throughout the day and assist with transport as needed.
• Support teaching staff by grading, filing, and assisting with screening and testing procedures.
• Assist in planning and implementing IEP goals for individuals and small groups.
• Schedule parent conferences and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Provide other admin assistance such as proctoring detentions or transporting students to therapy.
• Make programmatic calls to coordinate meetings with teachers and parents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
