Washington Township Schools at Birches Elementary is seeking a Support Staff/Special Education Assistant to assist students with disabilities and support the classroom teacher in creating a positive learning environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, experience with children, and basic tech skills on computers, tablets, and laptops, with a focus on collaboration with staff. Experience with school-age students is preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children required.
• Ability to demonstrate basic tech skills on computers, tablets & laptops.
• Ability to work well with assigned staff to establish a positive learning environment for students.
• Ability to work with students with various disabilities.
• Evidence of good moral character as determined by reference checks, fingerprinting review and observation.
• Ability to provide academic and physical support to students with disabilities as directed by the classroom teacher if possible.
• Computer proficiency preferred.
• Experience with school-age students preferred.
