Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Special Education Teaching Assistant (K-5) to support students in general and resource classrooms at Archway Lincoln in Chandler, AZ. This hourly role supports certified teachers under supervision.

Responsibilities include small-group and 1:1 academic support, behavior guidance, transitioning assistance, and basic clerical tasks. A high school diploma is required, with preference for an associate degree or 60 credit hours; OPT/CPT allowed; and US work

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in special education preferred.
• Interest in reading great books.

Responsibilities

• Academic support in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist with assignments, homework, projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications.
• Reinforce classroom rules and behavior expectations.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
