Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; an associate degree is preferred.
• Two years/60 credits of higher education or a passing score on an ADE assessment.
• Experience in special education is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; interest in reading great books.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework and projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications to aid learning.
• Reinforce classroom rules and monitor behavior for safety.
• Assist with transitions, mobility, and daily care as needed.
• Attend meetings and training sessions; provide clerical support as required.
