Job summary

Pearland ISD is seeking a qualified Educational Aide to support a special education classroom in Pearland, Texas. The role involves assisting the lead teacher with preparation, data collection, and implementing instructional activities tailored to students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (can be obtained after hire).
• Associate's degree or two years of college study required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher in preparing and managing classroom activities and admin requirements.
• Support implementation of classroom programs: self-help, behavior management, data collection, and instruction.
• Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist with completing administrative tasks to support instructional needs.
• Maintain student safety and confidentiality in all activities.
