Candidates should have a high school diploma, Texas Educational Aide Certificate (or ability to obtain after hire), and at least two years of experience working with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Texas Educational Aide Certificate (can be obtained after hire).
• Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning.
• Two years of experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher in preparing and managing classroom activities.
• Support implementation of classroom programs, including self-help and instruction.
• Collect data and assist with behavior management and instruction under supervision.
• Handle routine administrative requirements and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and moving students and classroom equipment as needed.
