Conroe Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Aide/BASS at Birnham Woods Elementary (129) to support students with disabilities. You will assist with IEP implementation, behavior management, and instructional activities under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include aiding students in class and in related settings, collecting data, and maintaining confidentiality while participating in PD and school events.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Certification: Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
• Certification: Current certification in de-escalation and restraint techniques (or completion within 45 school days)

Responsabilidades

• Help manage the behavior of assigned students and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
• Assist with IEP implementation including self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.
• Work under supervision of principal and certified teacher.
• Support students in classroom and non-classroom settings (lunchroom, bus, playground).
• Collect necessary paperwork/data and keep teacher informed of student needs.
• Participate in professional development, meetings, and school events.
• Maintain confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.
