Job summary

Promesa Academy Charter School in San Antonio, Texas, seeks a caring Self-Contained Instructional Aide to support students receiving special education services in a self-contained classroom setting. You will work under the direction of the classroom teacher and campus administration to provide academic, behavioral, personal, and daily living support.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Educational aide certification or eligibility to obtain Texas certification preferred.
Ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities, accommodations, modifications, and IEP requirements.
Provide individual and small-group academic support under the teacher's direction.
Reinforce instruction in reading, mathematics, communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
Support students with classroom routines, transitions, organization, and task completion.
Assist with behavior intervention plans and positive behavior-support strategies.
