Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Educational aide certification or eligibility to obtain certification in Texas.
Ability to work with students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
Ability to follow instructional plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and IEP requirements.
Provide individual and small-group academic support under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Reinforce reading, mathematics, communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
Support mobility, positioning, feeding, toileting, hygiene when required.
Collaborate with teachers, related-service providers, and administrators.
Collect and document student performance and progress data.
