Job summary

Aa210 Elementary School is seeking an Aide Special Education SAILS to provide direct support to students with disabilities in various educational settings, helping them access the curriculum in the least restrictive environment. The role includes implementing IEPs, assisting with academics, behavior, communication, social and personal care skills, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.

Experience with cognitive disabilities and TEKS-aligned instruction is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge and Skills Test.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students in various settings to ensure safety and engagement.
• Assist with classroom management and supervision at all times.
• Implement behavioral strategies per ARD documents and intervene when needed.
• Prepare instructional materials under the guidance of the teacher.
