Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant – Positive Approach to Student Success (PASS) to support students and teachers in general and special education classrooms.

The assistant will help implement instructional activities, manage student behavior with interventions, and assist with materials and equipment under the supervision of licensed staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or a high-school diploma/equivalent plus a pass in a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under the supervision of teaching personnel.
• Assist in preparation, use, and maintenance of instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist with teacher-planned activities, exercises, and drills.
