Job summary

Duluth Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Program Paraprofessional to assist staff in supporting the educational, physical, safety, and life skills development of students with special needs at Myers-Wilkins Elementary.

The position is 31.25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 2:15 pm, with a starting wage of $20.86–$23.48 per hour plus benefits. A high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience or ParaPro credits are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a teacher's assistant in a teaching environment or related childcare work.
• 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits or passing ParaPro assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional staff and specialists in providing for educational, physical, safety, and life skills development of special needs students.
• Support day-to-day classroom activities and supervision as directed by lead teachers.
