Job summary

Wimberley High School is seeking a Special Education Aide to support a classroom for students with disabilities in a structured environment. You will assist with instructional materials, behavior management, and daily activities under supervision of a certified teacher.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Texas educational aide certificate (candidate must obtain).
• Ability to work with children with disabilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment.
• Keep administrative records and reports; assist substitutes.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers and personal care.
• Monitor student behavior and supervise during lunch, bus, and playground.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff activities.
