Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.), S.O.R.I. and fingerprints required.
• Passion for working with children/students.
• Basic knowledge of child growth and development.
• Knowledge of basic behavioral strategies.
• Knowledge of basic learning strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with student supports, either individually or in small groups, with guidance from teaching staff in implementing IEP goals and benchmarks and related behavior plans.
• Provide student support services in all school environments under guidance of special education staff and related service providers.
• Support the academic program, social-emotional needs, behavior programming, physical requirements and ADLs for assigned students.
• Support the social and emotional needs of students through positive relationship building and engaging instruction.
• Collect data across settings to inform progress on IEP goals.
• Provide coverage for special education staff and general education teachers as needed.
• Participate in in-service trainings and meetings relevant to served students.
• Reinforce learning of materials or skills introduced by teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers to support learning experiences for identified students with IEPs and the broader student group.
• Implement strategies and accommodations to support IEP goals.
• Support safety and positive behavior in all school activities.
