Job summary

Qualifications

• Meets Dept. of Education guidelines for paraprofessionals.
• High School diploma or equivalent and an Associate’s degree.
• Completion of 48 credit hours at an institution of higher education.
• Massachusetts-endorsed assessments: Parapro or WorkKeys.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience working with children; background in special education preferred.
• Flexible attitude; works well in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general education classroom, learning centers, and across settings.
• Carry out strategies and modify assignments per IEPs with staff.
• Support learning, adaptive equipment, and instructional materials per IEPs.
• Supervise students during non-class time and field trips.
• Attend trainings and meetings; maintain confidentiality.
