• Motivate and assist students to build self-esteem, independence, and social skills, and encourage self-advocacy.
• Use assistive technology, computers, and adaptive equipment to support student learning.
• Gather and maintain accurate data regarding the student and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Understand and appreciate diversity in children's skills, cultures, and backgrounds.
• Maintain confidentiality with student information and records.
• Implement prevention and response strategies as outlined in Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Implement supports as outlined in an Individual Health Plan, including self-care activities.
