Job summary

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent as listed in qualifications.
• Academic competency in written and spoken language and mathematical skills.
• Aptitude for work to be performed.
• Alternatives to specified qualifications as deemed necessary by Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified teachers with classroom activities.
• Work with small groups to reinforce or reteach material.
• Work with individual students needing special attention.
• Assist with instructional aids, bulletin boards, and displays.
• Assist with routine clerical duties and classroom housekeeping.
• Set up audiovisual equipment for classroom use.
• Supervise students during lunch, assemblies, and field trips.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
