Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Aide II in its Special Education programs in Reno, NV. Under supervision, you will assist teachers with a range of instructional activities and provide individual or group support to students with diverse needs.

You may assist in various special education settings (CLS, EC, SIP, Strategies) and provide attendant services as required, including health-related tasks, transportation support, and data recording to monitor student progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience assisting in special education preferred.
• Ability to lift 50–80 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in various settings.
• Provide attendant services (diapering, toileting, washing faces) as needed.
• Support instruction and reinforce learning concepts.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain classroom equipment.
