Qualifications

• Possess Associate's degree, 48 hours of college coursework or successful Paraprofessional assessment score.
• Demonstrate ability to assist students with academic, physical or behavioral tasks as directed by the teacher.
• Possess willingness to learn specialized instructional/management techniques for students with disabilities.
• Possess or ability to obtain CPR and first aid certification and willingness to maintain necessary training/certifications as directed by school division.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, HIPPA and other federal and state regulations regarding student welfare.
• Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for effective and positive interactions with students, colleagues, parents and community.
