Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED and related coursework or degree.
• Formal academic assessment met; associate degree or two years of higher education.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under teacher direction; work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom environment.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Supervise students during school day including lunchroom, bus, and playground.
